The motor assist on the E-bikes will help you get up and down Tokyo's many hills. With hardly any pedaling, the bike will keep going exactly where you want; it is an absolutely liberating cycling experience!
    • Nihonbashi Bridge: A Memento of History
In the Edo period, Nihonbashi Bridge was the starting point of many voyages across the Tokaido — the “Eastern Sea Route” connecting Tokyo to Kyoto. The current bridge that has come to symbolize the city with its stone, dual arch construction, is actually the 20th! Even as 4 centuries pass after its first construction, the bridge continues to be loved byTokyo's people as an important memento of the city’s history. The Nihonbashi area is filled with tourists and office workers around sundown, but the bike tour will take you through back lanes to avoid the crowds. The night-time lights give the bridge a different atmosphere from the day, accentuating the majestic demeanor of a longstanding structure.
    • Snack Time in Old Town Tsukishima!
Tsukishima, Tokyo has some of the richer historical backgrounds of the city. It is also a hotspot of Monja-yaki, with over 60 restaurants in the area serving the popular dish. Tsukishima also retains much of its old townscape. Walk into any major street of Tsukishima and you will see rows of traditionally styled buildings, packed densely like single long structures. The narrow alleys of Tsukishima are impossible to access by car, and are a bike tour’s specialty. In the bike tour's up-close look at the city, you might make some new and unseen discoveries! Here in Tsukishima, the tour will be taking a short break with a snack, that will be different depending on the day! Once you are well rested and fed, the bike tour will proceed to its next destination.
    • Harumi Wharf: A Lesser Known View, but a Beautiful One!
Harumi Wharf at night is the highlight viewpoint of this bike tour! The night view from here is made by a beautiful harmony between the lights of Tokyo Bay and Rainbow Bridge. The way they shimmer together in the darkness is a truly breathtaking sight.
Getting here is when the bike tour truly shines! Harumi Wharf’s poor accessibility makes visiting without your own vehicle quite the hassle. Because of this, it is also a location with fewer tourists, and a quieter ambience. Park your e-bike and equip your camera, for some gorgeous night shots with the romantic Rainbow Bridge in the backdrop!
    • Kachidoki Bridge: A Remaining Testament to Showa Era Engineering
Kachidokibashi is characterized by its green-hued illuminations at night. It is a rare example in Japan of a “bascule bridge” — a split bridge that can lift its two segments like a trapdoor, allowing for boat traffic underneath. This functionality of the bridge is not currently used, but the bridge has been listed as an important national heritage piece in 2007 for the usage of cutting-edge technology at the time of its construction in 1950.
The bridge has been used as a shooting location for hugely popular movies and TV dramas, so you may have seen it before in the screen! Cycling in the night breeze along the Sumida river will give you a full-scale view of its beauty!
      *Currently under construction.
    • Tokyo Station & Marunouchi: A Tokyo Symbol, Beautifully Illuminated at Night
As the bike tour approaches the lights of the city center, the cycling nears its end at Tokyo Station/Marunouchi. The famous building was designed in 1914 by the renown architect Kingo Tatsuno, and its red brick construction has come to symbolize Tokyo. The station building is lit up after dark, showing off a different expression from its daytime look. The wide square in front of the station gives a full view of the illuminated building, and is a place you must visit in this bike tour!
    • The E-Bike Tour Ends at Tokyo Station
With your cameras filled up, the bike tour ends at Tokyo Station.
In this bike tour, you will have seen a side of Tokyo unlike anything in the daytime. The destinations are all exceptional viewpoints for the glamorous lights of the city's night-scape.
By cycling to these places, through historic townscapes and narrow alleyways, you are able to have a close-up view of the city that can't be had in cars and trains. In the meantime, the speed of the e-bike will present a constantly changing scenery around you. This tour will let you experience both Tokyo’s classic tourism spots, and more obscure places unknown to most tourists; get on your e-bike, and enjoy it to the fullest!
