    • Stained-glass atelier Naranja
Your stained glass art class will take place here, in stained glass studio "naranja", which means the fruit "orange" in Spanish. The store logo represents a turtle, and is super cute!
The store interior is illuminated by countless lamps using stained glass, and emanates a classy atmosphere. If you fall in love with any of the items on display, many of them are on sale too!
    • What will you be doing with Stained Glass?
Stained glass is an art that combines colored pieces of glass into a single frame, creating all kinds of images and patterns. While stained glass is a staple of old western architecture and especially churches, they also make great additions to the modern interior as parts of lifestyle items and illuminations. In this glass art class, you'll be making a stained glass mirror, decorated with colorful glass around the frame!
    • Choosing the Materials for your Stained Glass Mirror
After receiving some instructions, it's time to begin the stained glass class! You'll start by choosing the glass and mirrors for your stained glass mirror. The glass pieces come in a variety of shapes and colors, so you'll be able to make a stained glass mirror like no other!
    • Designing your Stained Glass Mirror
Once you've decided on your glass pieces and mirror, it's time to design the stained glass mirror. You could go for an eclectic look with vibrant glass pieces, or a more toned-down aesthetic with close hues. If you're ever stuck on your designs, your class instructor will share their experience with stained glass!
    • Copper Taping the Pieces
After you've decided on your design, it's time to prepare the soldering. To do this, you'll first wrap parts of each piece with copper taping. The material used to hold together the stained glass, solder, doesn't actually stick directly to glass. To make the process much easier, a layer of copper tape is put between each stained glass piece.
    • Soldering & Bringing Together your Stained Glass Mirror
Once the pieces are fully copper-taped, it's time to bring together the pieces. Just like when you applied the copper tape, this will be an intricate process. A calm mind and steady hand will do the trick.
On the completed layer of solder, you'll finally apply an aging chemical. This is to give the mirror an antique look and complete the aesthetic!
    • Your Stained Glass Mirror is Complete!
Your antique-styled stained glass mirror is complete! This can be placed in your home as an interior piece, or given as a gift to a friend or family member.
The stained glass' tinted glint will add a delicate touch of color, to the everyday lifestyle of its owner.
