    • What is a "Welcome" Sign?
Welcome signs are often placed at the entrances of stores and wedding ceremonies as an inviting first impression for the guests. They are also popular decorations for the front porch, as a way of showing off your home’s character! In this flower craft class, you’ll be decorating a cute little welcome sign with vivid variety of pressed flower arrangement.
    • The Craft Class Begins! Decorating your Welcome Board with Pressed Flowers
After some instructions, it’s time to get decorating! Carefully plan your pressed flower arrangement on the wooden sign. Pressed Flowers (referred to as “oshibana” in Japanese) is a flower art in which natural flowers are pressed flat, and used for small handicrafts and artworks. This process isn’t just limited to flowers; grasses, leaves, vegetables and fruits can also be pressed. Pressing is a method that fully utilizes natural beauty, and since no two living flowers are exactly the same, neither are any two pressed flowers. Feel nature’s beauty and diversity as you arrange the colors on your welcome sign, one flower at a time!
    • Your One-and-Only Welcome Sign is Complete! End of Craft Class
Fix your pressed-flower arrangement in place, and your welcome sign is complete! Your finished floral welcome sign can be hung at your front porch or your room door, to add a splash of natural vibrance to your interior. They also make great gifts to relatives and friends!
