Ryugakubo Pond
Ryugakubo Pond locates in the city of Tsunan in southern Niigata. The pond is made up of fresh spring water. The lake measures 11,900 meters squared, and has a depth between 1.5 and 2 meters. The waters of the lake are extremely translucent, since about 43,000 tons of fresh water springs out from underground every day. Over 67 different kinds of broad-forest trees surround the pond. The trees reflect on the clear pond, and create an ethereal view. Nearby, you can find Ryugakubo Shrine. There, you can taste the fresh water from the springs of Ryugakubo.
