Ohno Kame
Ohno Kame
"Ohno Kame" is located in Niigata Prefecture's Sado Island floating on the Sea of Japan. It is a 167-meter -high monolith that protrudes approximately 2 km over the coastline. It is also known for having earned two Michelin Green Guide Japon stars. Around Ohno Kame is a place where tobishimakanzo grow in cluster. About 500,000 flowers are in full bloom around May, which is a beautiful extensive view that looks like an all-yellow carpet. Every year on the second Sunday of June, Sado Kanzo Festival takes place. The main attractions of the festival are a type of traditional performing arts "Odaiko" and Sado’s folk song "Sado Okesa," which are performed for such purposes as attaining huge harvests of the five grains. Since there are such tourist attractions as "Sai no Kawara" and "Futatsugame Beach" in the nearby area, why don't you visit those along with Ohno Kame?
