Amanohashidate

Amanohashidate
Amanohashidate in Kyoto is considered one of Japan’s Three Scenic Views, along with Matsushima in Miyagi and Miyajima in Hiroshima. It is a strip of land connecting two sides of the Miyazu Bay, and measures 20 to 170 meters wide and 3.6 kilometers long. On the skinny strip are about 8,000 pine trees. Along the pine forest is a beautiful, sandy shore. You can see Amanohashidate from a near-by observatory, walk across the strip or even take a boat ride around it. Nearby are parks, wineries and more activities for you to enjoy.
