Sakurajima Visitor Center

"Sakurajima Visitor Center" is located in Sakurajima, Kagoshima city, Kagoshima Pref. The facility exhibits various information about "Sakurajima" island, the representative famous spot of Kagoshima Pref. It is a part of Kirishima Kinko-wan National Park.
There are various exhibitions on the history and nature of Sakurajima which has still now continues volcanic activity. You can feel the nature magnificence by looking at the exhibitions of volcanic product from Sakurajima and the history of forest created in lava field.
Sakurajima eruption can be experienced with spectacular image and sound in the "Volcanic eruption video corner".
Museum shop is located in the entrance, and available there are books about Sakurajima and Kagoshima and special local items such as "Sakurajima no Tsubakiyu"(camellia oil).
It is an information station which tells Sakurajima's attraction to the full extent, not only for whom visit there for the first time but for those go there many times.
