Oshino Hakkai is a cluster of 8 fresh spring lakes. The snow from Mount Fuji melts down to the foot of the mountain over a course of 20 years and makes its way to these lakes. The beautiful, transparent waters are sometimes even referred to as “God’s lakes”. The view of Mount Fuji from Oshino Hakkai is traditional and beautiful – especially in the spring with the cherry blossoms blooming by the lakes.
