Ushimado Shrine, in the seaside city of Setouchi, offers beautiful views of the ocean. The shrine’s main hall was built in the Edo period (1603 – 1878), and is designated as a town important cultural property. Every May, July and October, a seasonal festival is held at the shrine. Visit in the summer months to celebrate the festival and to enjoy Ushimado’s beaches under the sun.
