Abeno Harukas
Abeno Harukas
"Abeno Harukas" opened in the Abeno Region of South Osaka City in 2014 as the tallest building in Japan. Its proud height of 300m makes it the tallest building in Japan to this point, outside of the "Yokohama Landmark Tower". The name "Abeno Harukas" is based on an old Japanese word, "harukasu", meaning to "make bright". This building is full of fun places to visit, such as department stores, hotels, art museums, and an observation deck. A wide array of restaurants are also set up here, allowing for a complete day of shopping and sightseeing. Part of this building is also used as office space. An observation tower called "Harukas 300" spans from the 58th to the 60th floor. This popular spot gives visitors an amazing view Kyoto, Mt. Rokko, the Akashi-Kaikyo Bridge, and Awajishima.
