Osaka City Central Public Hall
Osaka City Central Public Hall
The Osaka City Central Public Hall, located on Nakanoshima Island of northern Osaka city, is the core for Osaka's culture and art. This public hall was built in 1918 with the donations of about 50 million dollars from the stock broker, Einosuke Iwamoto. In 2018, the hall had its 100th year anniversary. The Neo-Renaissance architectural style with red bricks has been designated as an Important Cultural Property for its beauty. After its reconstruction in 2002, the outer appearance has slightly changed. Today, the public hall is used for lectures, concerts, performances, and more. On the basement floor, there are many restaurants and shops!
