Jinpukaku

The western building, "Jinpukaku", located in Tottori City of Tottori Prefecture, has been registered as an Important Cultural Property. The white wooden-tile roofing of the French Renaissance styled architecture is a unique feature of this building. The Jinpukaku was used as the villa for the 14th generation owner of the past feudal lord family, the Ikedas, in 1907. The unique designs in every room create an extremely artistic feel for the building. Nearby, the newly renovated Himatsu Park has become a precious area for citizens. Also, the area is a great spot for viewing cherry blossoms and autumn leaves, so come enjoy the Jinpukaku and the seasonal flowers in one spot.
