The Adachi Museum of Art locates in the city of Yasugi in Shimane prefecture. The museum specializes in modern Japanese art; especially the works of Yokoyama Taikan. Over 100 of Yokoyama’s works are displayed here regularly, and the rotating exhibitions are switched out four times a year. The museum is well known for their Japanese garden and works of pottery. The Japanese gardens have an overall area of 165,000㎡, and many different types of gardens are displayed from sand-based gardens to moss gardens. The artworks and the gardens match each other very well and create a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere.
