Yamaguchi Watermill

Yamaguchi Watermill
The Yamaguchi Watermill can be found in the city of Tono of Iwate prefecture. It is a small watermill house with a thatched roof. The watermill used to be used to process crops. Though the area was once home to many more watermills, all of them but the Yamaguchi Watermill closed down as a result of industrialization. This watermill is still in use today. The inside is open, and you can see what a traditional watermill was like.
