Omoide no Katabunko

Omoide no Katabunko is an event hall in Semboku, Akita that uses the building of a closed school.
Obonai Elementary School closed down in 1974, and reopened in 2004 after some reparations. Woodstoves, hallways, water fountains and more from back in the day still remain today.
Every year, at the end of May, a craft market is held here. Works of pottery and handmade accessories are sold at the market.
