Senjojiki
Senjojiki
Senjojiki is located in Shirahamach, Nishimurogun, the southwest area of Wakayama Prefectuere. The huge rocks were created by erosion due to rough waves breaking on Shirahama. It is a scenic spot with the strength of nature. Senjojiki is prominent from Setosaki, a prominent cape in the Pacific Ocean. The three-layer rock is shaped like a slope and is a sandstone bed made in the Tertiary period, about 258 million to 65.5 million years ago. Erosion due to rough waves made the current form of Senjojiki, from which you can feel the million years of history nature created. Also, the evening view of Senjojiki is so beautiful that it is selected as one of the 100 best evening views in Wakayama Prefecture. It is worth seeing, especially when the evening sun sinks below the horizon in the Pacific Ocean.
