Nihondaira

“Nihon Daira” is a rolling hill locating in Shizuoka City of Shizuoka prefecture. The name of it comes from a Japanese historical significant figure, Takeru Yamato, a member of the imperial family. He appears in “Kojiki”, a record of ancient matters, and “Nihonshoki”, the oldest chronicles of Japan. There are two observatories on the hill and the one at the top, “Ginboudai”, offers amazing views. You can savor a 360-degree panorama view of Suruga Bay, “Mihono Matubara”, a seaside pine grove, and Mount Fuji from it. During the evening, you can enjoy a beautiful silhouette of Mount Fuji and a romantic night view.
