Menard Aoyama Resort

The Menard Aoyama Resort is located in Iga city in the Western region of Mie prefecture. The resort is a complex of relaxation facilities on a vast 3,300,000㎡ area in the quasi-national Aoyama Kogen Park that is 600m above sea level.  It was opened in 1976 by Nippon Menard Cosmetic Co. There are over 300 herbs, including lavender and camomile, planted in the herb garden, where a Potpourri workshop is held.  At the Cosmetics workshop, visitors can custom-order and make their own lipstick and other cosmetics. Other facilities include a golf course, tennis court, fishing area, and hot springs. Also, a beautiful light illumination is displayed all year round. The 250,000 lights paint the nature of Aoyama plateau in bright, shining colors.  A wondrous winter version of the illumination is open from November to March every year.
