Lake Tanuki locates on the Asagiri Plateau, and is a man-made lake. It is known as one of the best places to see Mount Fuji from. On days with little to no wind, you can see the famous updside-down Mount Fuji reflected onto the lake surface. If you’re lucky, you might get a chance to see the “Diamond Fuji” around the 20th of April of August. The “Diamond Fuji” is when the sun hits the peak of Mount Fuji, creating a diamond ring-like effect. By the lake are facilities like camping grounds, barbeque area, onsen and more, so you can spend a relaxing day by the lake.
