From the Mount Nesugatayama Observatory, you can see an amazing view of the Izu Peninsula coast and the Pacific Ocean. You can take the Shimoda Ropeway from the ropeway station across from Izukyu-Shimoda Station to reach the observatory. Also at the top of the mountain, you can visit Aizen-myo-odo Temple.
