Cape Hyuga

Cape Hyuga, located on the coast of Miyazaki prefecture, is a part of the Nippo Coast Quasi-National Park. The ria coast is jagged and rocky, and you can see the columnar joint rocks formed by a volcanic eruption 15 million years ago. The Sea of Cruz on Cape Hyuga is a popular wish-making spot, and is shaped like a cross. Head to Umagase on the tip of Cape Hyuga, for beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean and the rocky coastline. At night, head to Mount Komenoyama, for an amazing night view of Cape Hyuga.
