Kujukushima Zoological and Botanical Gardens Mori Kirara

Kujukushima Zoological and Botanical Gardens Mori Kirara opened in 1961 in the western area of the city of Sasebo. The "zoological" area of the garden houses large mammals like giraffes and lions, while the "botanical" section has around 1,200 species of plants. Mori Kirara boasts the largest ceiling tank in Japan, where penguins swim over your head and look as if they are flying.
