Hashi-no-eki (bridge station) Rikarika-warumi
Hashi-no-eki (bridge station) Rikarika-warumi stands in Nakijin, in the north of Okinawa's main island. The roadside rest area sells local vegetables and fruits. It is a nice place to pick up souvenirs, so drop by during your Nakijin visit. It also houses a restaurant and other eateries.Try the watermelon juice made from Nakijin's famed fruit. The site's name Rika-rika means "let's go, let's go" in the Okinawan dialect. The later half of the name comes the Warumi Straits, which is seen from the observation deck. The deck offers sweeping views of the Unten harbor, the Haneji inland sea, and the northern hills of Yanbaru in the distance. If you are not in a rush, rent an electric bike and explore the surrounding areas.
