Anan Onsen Kajika-no-yu is situated in Shimoina district, Nagano Prefecture. The onsen hot spring complex offers various activities and services such as pottery workshops, camping and cottage stays.
The complex is one of the largest public baths in Nagano, and boasts five different baths, including open air baths, saunas and hot spring baths with water flowing directly from the source.
Kajika-no-yu also sells locally grown vegetables and fruits, and other local goods that make for nice gifts to bring back home.
At "Anancho Togei Taikenkan" (Anan Town Pottery Experience Center) you can try your hand at glass bead-making, or ceramic-making using your hands or a pottery wheel. "Campsite & Cottage: Kajika-so", an accomodation facility providing camping grounds and cottages, is also available. In the depths of Shimoina's rich nature, this area allows a variety of experiences from camping to handicrafts.
