Seibu Railway Chichibu Station Matsuri no yu

Seibu Railway Chichibu Station Matsuri No Yu (hot springs) is located in Chichibu City, northwestern Saitama Prefecture.  This complex facility with hot springs is based on the Chichibu Night Festival, a famous Chichibu event held every December. The building is divided into 3 sections with a hot springs area, food court, and a shopping area with the decorations for the festival's floats used both inside and out.
The bathwater here is an iodine, sodium and chloride cold mineral hot spring, expected to be effective against cuts, chills, and dry skin. In addition to indoor hot springs such as a high-concentration carbonated bath and a "silk bath", (a bath filled with tiny ion-charged bubbles), you can also enjoy open-air baths such as a rock bath, a blossom-viewing bath, and four types of bedrock baths.
At the food court, which you can enter for free, you can enjoy Chichibu gourmet foods such as "miso-marinated pork", "waraji katsu" (waraji means old fashioned rice straw sandal, katsu is a pork cutlet) and "soba (buckwheat noodle) with walnut dipping sauce". Like the food court area, you can enter the shopping area for free. Since the shopping area carries a variety of Chichibu's specialty products, I recommend to stop stopping by even if only for food and shopping.
