Hasunuma Onsen Public Bath Hasunuma Onsen is in Ota-ku, Tokyo. This public bath draws its bathwater from natural hot springs, and is located in the Kamata area - a region known for having a concentration of natural hot springs in Tokyo. The Kamata area is known for its "black" hot springs, whose dark colors is brought by a high concentration of underground deposits and humic acid. Hasunuma Onsen's bath is a brown-hued, sodium chloride hydrogen bicarbonate spring. This hot spring has gained popularity for its moisturizing, skin-nourishing effects. In 2017, the building was reborn as a retro-themed space with a Taisho era aesthetic. The remodeled building represents Japanese culture and technology with plaster walls and a traditional lattice ceilings. Owakudani Hot Spring "Owakudani Hot Spring" is an extensive hot spring source in Owakudani in Hakone-machi, Kanagawa Prefecture. Owakudani is a volcano trace where the Hakone Volcano erupted about 3000 years ago. Owakudani Hot Spring is one of the "Hakone Niju-yu." This is an artificial hot sping that was created by adding water to volcanic steam of Owakudani. Owakudani has a rich supply of hot spring, which is distributed to hot springs all over Hakone. The spring quality of Owakudani Hot Spring is acidic (pH 2.5) sulfate. Hot acidic water is highly sterilizing and has a healing effect on cuts, acne and skin diseases. It is also effective for assuaging neuralgia, muscle aches and healing fatigue.

Ginzan Onsen Ginzan Onsen locates in Yamagata prefecture’s city of Obanazawa. The hot springs town was made between the late Taisho Period (1912 - 1926) and the early Showa period (1926 - 1989), and retains a retro atmosphere. The waters of Ginzan Onsen are a milky white, and come directly from its spring in the Ginzan River. On Saturdays between May and October, you can witnesss the Hanagasa Odori event from around 8:30p.m. Hanagasa Odor is a traditional bamboo hat-spinning dance. Shimonada Station Shimonada Station locates in the Seto Inland Sea side of Ehime, and is famous as an ideal spot for taking a picture of the ocean. It is one of the railway stations on the JR Shikoku Yosan Line that connects Takamatsu Station in Kagawa and Uwajima Station in Ehime. Until the Japan National Route 378 was prepared by reclaiming the land from the sea, it was known as “the station closest to the sea in Japan”. Many movies, magazines and commercials were shot here. As the beautiful scenery can be seen even today, many people visit to look at the wonderful sunset over the ocean, or to take pictures of a peaceful figure of an unstaffed station. Moreover, the sightseeing train “Iyonada Monogatari” that runs along Ehime’s ocean offers people a graceful train trip over delicious meals. Musashi Koyama Shimizuyu Onsen At Musashi Koyama Shimizuyu Onsen, you can have a local hot spring experience right in the heart of Tokyo. There are two types of hot springs, the Ogon-no-yu (Golden Spring) and the Kuro-yu (Black Spring), which are both from natural springs. Ogon-no-yu is rich in iodine, and is good for sore muscles and healing fatigue, while Kuro-yu is great for moisturizing the skin. You can choose from the hyper jet bath, the electric pulse bath and Jacuzzi in the indoor facilities. In the rotemburo, or outdoor baths, are the Ogon-no-yu and Kuro-yu baths. Ubako Onsen Ubako Onsen can be found in Hakone, a town in the western region of Kanagawa prefecture. The onsen is located at the highest peak of the volcanic cone in the Hakone caldera. Ubako Onsen has one of the longest histories of the 17 hot springs of Hakone. The quiet, forested surroundings have a holy-like atmosphere. The spring water types here include calcium sulphate and sodium sulphate. The onsen makes an appearance in a famous Japanese folk tale when Sataka Kintoki, also known as Kintaro, comes to heal his injured eye at the hot spring. Even now, the story is still told with many coming to the hot spring to help heal eye disease. Another historical aspect of the Ubako Onsen is the mountain religion. The sacred site of the mountain worshipping religion remains here. People would pray for good health and effective healing at the Yakushi hall and Jizo hall.

Obasute's Rice Fields The rice fields in Nagano prefecture's Obasute are made in the "tanada" style. The fields are created in a step-like style to utilize the most out of the hilly land. Kasai Rinkai Park Kasai Rinkai Park is located in Edogawa-ku, Tokyo. This park was created in Tokyo Bay, under the theme of "Green, Water and People". The park is divided into five zones. The "Grass Square Area" has a large ferris wheel,which is a major landmark of Kasai Rinkai Park, as well as walking paths trails and accommodation facilities. The "Shiokaze (sea breeze) Square Zone" has an observatory rest house, "Crystal View" overlooking Tokyo Bay. There are also five zones: an "Aquarium Zone" where you can interact with sea life, a bird garden zone "Bird Garden Zone" where you can observe wild birds and the nature around them and a the "Management Zone" in the entrance area where parking lots and station squares are located. There are facilities that allow people of all ages to relax and enjoy nature. The scenery's changing seasonal flowers -- cherry blossoms in the spring, Japanese roses in the summer, cosmos and osmanthus in the fall, plums and daffodils in the winter -- also give a great way to enjoy the park's nature.

Ashinoko Onsen Ashinoko Onsen is located in a spot with wonderful views of Mt Fuji in the town of Hakone in western Kanagawa prefecture. Roughly 725 meters above sea level, the Ashinoko Onsen area spreads out over 1.5 kilometers from the edge of Lake Ashi. It is the second newest of the 17 hot springs of Hakone. In 2006, the jinx that no hot springs well up in view of Mt. Fuji was broken when a hot spring was dug out. Amazing views of Lake Ashi and the surrounding landscape can be seen while bathing here. The spring water is of the simple sulfur type, which gives the onsen a distinct sulfuric smell. The water is also good for the skin and lifestlye diseases.

Mount Omuro Mount Omuro rests on the Izu Plateau, and is a 580-meter mountain. It is a dormant volcano, with a 300-meter wide crater at the mountaintop. You can take a lift to the top of the mountain. On sunny, clear days, the peak of Mount Omuro offers an amazing view of Mount Fuji. The “Yama-yaki” mountain-burning event is held every February, and on that day, the entire mountain is set on fire to burn off the withered grass and leaves.
