Fukiware Falls
Fukiware Falls
Fukiware Falls, in Gunma prefecture, is also known as the “Niagara of the East”, and is designated as a national natural monument. The falls stretch 30 meters wide and are 7 meters tall. You can walk up to the basin of the falls to feel the waters up close. From the three observatories across the falls, you can get a great panoramic view of the entire waterfall. Across the area, there are many uniquely shaped rocks, which are a result of years and years of erosion. There are many gorgeous sites, such as the Senjojiki area, where the waters are shallow and clear.
