Takasakiyama Zoo

Takasakiyama Zoo Monkeys

Takasakiyama Zoo

At Takasakiyama Zoo, there no fences or cages bounding the animals. The main attraction of the zoo are monkeys, which come from Mount Takasaki. You can see the monkeys running around as they would in their natural environment. Originally, in 1953, there were only 220 monkeys, but now the zoo boasts a whole 1,230 monkeys. You can visit the souvenir shop for some cute monkey goods.
