Saga Balloon Museum

The Saga Balloon Museum can be found in central Saga city. The prefecture is home the largest hot air balloon festival in all of Asia. In 2016, the Saga Balloon Museum opened as the only air balloon museum in Japan. At the entrance, you can find a 20-meter tall hot air balloon. In the theater room on the first floor, you can enjoy seeing the hot air balloons in action on a 280-inch screen. On the second floor, the Icarus 5, the first hot air balloon launched with a human passenger inside, is displayed. There is also a flight simulator that is fun for the entire family. At the end of your trip, you can visit Saga Kobo, where you can find light bulbs and more with the signature hot air balloon illustrated on it.
