Honrenji Temple locates on the coastal city of Setouchi in Okayama prefecture. It was built in 1347 by a monk from Kyoto. The main hall was re-built during the Muromachi period (1338 – 1573), and is designated as an important cultural property. It is also said that diplomats from the Joseon dynasty (present day Korea) visited this temple during their visit to Japan. This seaside temple offers a serene, peaceful atmosphere with a scenic ocean view.
