Road Station Kinko Nishiki no Sato
Michi-no-eki Kinko Nishiki-no-sato is a roadside station in Kinko, which lies on the southern tip of the O-kuma peninsula in Kagoshima, in Japan’s southwest. The site offers views of Kagoshima’s natural wonders such as Kinko Bay, Mount Kaimon-dake, and the active Sakurajima volcano.
Fresh, locally grown produce as well as handicrafts is available at affordable prices. It is also a nice place to pick up Kagoshima souvenirs. Eating is allowed in the rest area, so it is a great place to try some local treats, such as the homemade ice cream popular with visitors.
