Youkoukan Tea Garden

Youkoukan Tea Garden
The Youkoukan Tea Garden, located in central Fukui city of Fukui Prefecture, showcases the beauty of Japanese tea gardens as well as the sukiya-styled architecture. This tea garden was once used as a villa for the Matsubei family, governors of Fukui. During the 17th century, reconstruction was done to create the tea garden. It was supposedly called, "Artificial Pond Mansion", because of its beauty. The architectural aspects of the garden are part of the fun. Enjoy the tea garden all the way to its finest details while taking a stroll through the grounds. Also, tea parties occur seasonally during the spring and autumn. What an experience to have a tea party in Youkoukan Tea Garden.
