Vories Buildings

A western building, "Vories building", which stands in Oumi Hachiman of Shiga Prefecture. In 1990, the architect, William Merrell Vories, gathered about 20 American architects and left 25 buildings in Oumi Hachiman.
His buildings were designed to fit in with Japan's climate and lifestyles.
Today, these building have turned into a memorial hall, the Vories residence, and a nursing home, the Oumi nursing home, which are loved by many Japanese people.
