Umino-nakamichi Seaside Park

Nemophila in Umino-nakamichi Seaside Park

Umino-nakamichi Seaside Park

Umino-nakamichi Seaside Park in Fukuoka city, western Fukuoka Prefecture, is one of the greatest national parks in Kyushu. This expansive park that stretches over 3 km² combines the beautiful vistas of the Genkai Sea and Hakata Bay.

As a national park themed on "environment" "recreation" and "history", Umino-nakamichi Park has many facilities and spaces to let you enjoy nature to the fullest. In the Animal's Forest, you can pet and watch animals such as capybara and kangaroos. In other areas, you can experience tree planting and harvesting crops to learn about nature and animal ecology. I also recommend to take a walk at Flower's Hill to enjoy seasonal flowers like cosmos and nemophila.

There are many recreational facilities that kids can happily enjoy too, such as a giant trampoline and sunshine pool. This park caters and provides entertainment to people of all ages, from children to the elderly. Usually this park is beautiful with the forest, but during night time events there is a different atmosphere. Fireworks light up the summer night sky, while the winter time brings a Christmas event and mystical candle night.
