Akeno Sunflower Field

Akeno Sunflower Field locates in the northwestern region of Yamanashi prefecture. The fields locate beneath the Southern Yatsugatake Mountains. There are about 600,000 sunflowers, and the Hokuto Akeno Sunflower Festival is held here annually.
The sunflowers reach their peak between July and August. During the festival, you can enjoy limited-time snacks such as the sunflower seed soft serve. Other events such as a farmers market and a photo contest are held, too.
