Shinyabakei Gorge

Shinyabakei Gorge locates in northwestern Oita. It is a part of Yabakei Gorge, which is known for its amazing views during the autumn months. The other three gorges of Yabakei Gorge include Honyabakei, Urayabakei and Okuyabakei.
The views at Shinyabakei Gorge are coined as “hitome-hakkei (一目八景), meaning you can enjoy 8 different views at once. Although the gorge is the most well known for its views during the fall, you can visit any season for a spectacular sight.
Nearby Shinyabakei Gorge, you can find other sightseeing spots such as the Aonodomon Tunnel and Yabakeibashi Bridge.
