Hamanoura Rice Terrace

Hamanoura Rice Terraces locates in Saga prefecture’s northwestern region. The terraced rice fields, or “tanada”, are so beautiful that they have been featured in multiple published works.
The rice terraces here are special since they face the ocean, while most rice terraces located in valleys. The view of the rice fields are especially beautiful at sunset, when the rice field and the ocean both seem to glimmer under the glowing orange sun.
There is an observatory located nearby, so you can take a photo and enjoy the view of the rice terraces.
