Mount Daisen
Mount Daisen locates in the western portion of Tottori prefecture. It is the highest mountain the Chugoku region, and measures 1,709 meters high. The mountain is a part of the Daisen-Oki National Park. In the summer, Mount Daisen is a popular trekking spot, and serves as a ski/snowboarding destination in the winter. The mountain also has beautiful night views and a lovely fall foliage, and is enjoyable any time of year. Nearby the mountain, there are several historical spots like shrines and traditional buildings. The restaurants around Mount Daisen serve foods from the mountain and fresh seafood, as the ocean is not located too far away.
