Mount Yoshino

Mount Yoshino locates in central Nara prefecture. In 2004, Mount Yoshino was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as a part of the Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range. It is a popular cherry blossom viewing spot, as there are around 30,000 cherry trees throughout the mountain. Spring isn’t the only beautiful season on Mount Yoshino. The hydrangeas in the summer, the fall foliage and the snowy winter landscapes are all amazing. Throughout the year, light-up events are held at Mount Yoshino, such as the cherry blossom light up and the fall foliage light up.
