Suigo Sawara Ayame Park locates in the city of Katori in Chiba prefecture. The park measures about 80,000 square meters, and there are over 400 different types of irises there. You can ride a boat through the park to see all of the park’s flowers. Aside from irises, you can find lotuses, plums and more. In the spring, the park is blooming with cherry blossoms. The fall foliage is a sight to see too. There is a children’s’ play area inside the park, and a dog park as well. Suigo Sawara Ayame Park is perfect for a day out with the family. Visit in June for the Ayama Festival, where you can see the irises blossoming at their peak. From July to August, you can enjoy the Lotus Festival, with over 300 different kinds of lotuses.
