Tunnel of Love in Ukraine
The Tunnel of Love in Ukraine locates in the city of Klevan. The 3-kilometer tunnel ties together the cities Klevan and Orzhiv.
It is said that if two lovers cross the tunnel holding hands that their wishes will come true. Because of this, the tunnel has been coined the name “The Tunnel of Love”, and many couples visit to prove their love.
The Japanese Tunnel of Love
The Japanese Tunnel of Love locates at Moto-Choshi Station in the city of Choshi in Chiba prefecture. The tunnel is a part of the Choshi Electric Railway Line, which connects Choshi Station and Tokawa Station.
From Tokyo, Choshi is about a 2-hour train ride on a limited express train. Choshi is a beautiful port town with delicious seafood and stunning ocean views. It's a great place to make a day trip.
Moto-Choshi Station
The revamped Moto-Choshi Station
The station building at Moto-Choshi Station was renovated in 2017. The station was made in 1923, when Choshi Electric Railways began operating.
The original station building had been in use since 1923, and been in use for over 90 years. With holes in the walls and the roof and the ceilings beginning to tear, the station building had deteriorated quite a bit. As a part of a TV show project, the station building was renovated in 2017.
The Tunnel of Love at Moto-Choshi Station

You can see the Japanese Tunnel of Love from the platform of Moto-Choshi Station. The tunnel locates on the train track for the trains going in the Tokawa direction. Although the tunnel is not as long as the one in Ukraine, it is still an ethereal, exquisite view.
The best time to visit is in the spring and summer. During those warmer months, the tunnel is a vibrant green color.

Although you can walk through the Ukrainian Tunnel of Love, you cannot in the Japanese one. In order to go through the Japanese Tunnel of Love, take the Choshi Electric Railway Train in the Tokawa direction.
