Twenty Four Eyes Movie Studio
Twenty Four Eyes Movie Studio
Twenty Four Eyes Movie Studio locates on the coast of Shodoshima Island in Kagawa prefecture. The site was used for the film “Twenty Four Eyes” in 1954, and is now a theme park. The premise measures about 10,000 meters squared, and has a retro streetscape. In the park, you can watch the movie “Twenty Four Eyes”, and learn about other Japanese films that were created in the fifties. There are also many photo spots throughout the park, such as a school building and a flower garden. You can rent out a kimono for ¥500, and take retro-style photos. At the café, there are local specialties like somen noodles, or try out a traditional Japanese lunch meal. From the observatory is a stunning view of the Shioe Coast. Twenty Four Eyes Movie Studio is a great place to enjoy Japan in a slow, retro way.
