Nabana no Sato
Nabana no Sato is a giant flower garden locating in the city of Kuwana in Mie prefecture. Inside are five themed flower gardens, an observatory, hot springs and a restaurant. Inside the 40,000 square meter garden grounds, you can find different types of flowers throughout the seasons, such as tulips, cosmos, and more. The hydrangea and iris garden here is one of the largest in Japan. Seasonal events are held throughout the year at Nabana no Sato. Between late February and late July, the flower festival is held year-round. From late May to early July, the firefly festival is held, where you can see fireflies in the gardens after sunset. One of the most popular events is the Nabana no Sato Illumination, held between mid October and early May. It is one of the largest illumination events in Japan, and lights up the entire garden area.
