Hakuba Ski Jumping Stadium
Hakuba Ski Jumping Stadium locates in the town of Hakuba in northwestern Nagano. This stadium was used in the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympic Games. The entire arena measures about 120,000 square meters, and has a 318-meter long normal hill and a 385-meter long large hill. Today, the stadium is open to the public to tour. The large hill begins at 140 meters above the ground, and provides a thrilling experience and a beautiful view for visitors. To get to the top of the large hill, you must get to the Smart Tower first. The Smart Tower can be reached via a lift, and from the Smart Tower some elevators and stairs are taken to reach the hill. At the nearby Hakuba Olympic Memorial Hall, medals from the 1998 games and uniforms worn by the athletes are displayed.
