Shirahama

Shirahama is located in Shirahamach, Nishimurogun, the southwest area of Wakayama Prefectuere. As same as its name , the beach stretches for 620 meters long with pure white sand.
The beach features white smooth sand, blue and clear sea, and beach umbrellas made with olay. The beach reminds you of resorts overseas and is selected as one of the 100 best beaches in Japnan.
Various events are held in every season throughout the year: sand festival in spring, Shirahama firework festival in summer, candle illumination in autumn, and countdown firework in winter. There are many events through which you can find the attraction of Shirahama even during offseason of sea bathing.
