Yakimono Sanpomichi

“Yakimono Sanpomichi” is located in Tokoname City, the southeastern part of Aichi Prefecture. It is a walking trail, where you can savor the retro atmosphere of Tokoname, a major production area of earthenware, while looking around the culture and history. “Yakimono Sanpomichi” is divided into 2 kinds: A course (full length: 1.6 km, length of time: about 60 minutes) and B course (full length: 4 km, length of time: about 2 hours and 30 minutes). In the A course, you visit spots that retained their character from the Meiji period, the Taisyo period, and Showa period, including “Kaisenndonnyatakitake” and “Noborigama”. “Dokanzaka” featuring a unique view, where soil pipes and shochu bottles are buried into the wall, and “Noborikama Hiroba”, where pottery making can be experienced, are also on the course. In addition to the spots on the A course, the B course includes “INAX Live Museum” and “Tokoname-Tounomori Shiryoukan”. The walking trail allows you to feel the nostalgic atmosphere brought about by the brickwork chimney, the huge kiln, and the old factory site.
