Meoto-iwa rocks and the sunrise

Meoto-iwa Rocks (Ise)

Meoto-iwa rocks is a set of two rocks locating on the coast of Futami, a town in the city of Ise. As the two rocks resemble a married couple, it is known to bring luck in marriage and love. Between May and July, you can see the sun rising from in between the two rocks. On clear days right before and after the summer solstice, you can see the sun rising from the top of Mount Fuji. During a full moon between November and January, you can see the moon rising from in between the two rocks.
