Art Cafe Shimizu Onsen

Art Cafe Shimizu Onsen is a retro cafe located in Tadotsu town in the northern-west part of Kagawa prefecture.
The cafe is located in a renovated building, which used to be a public bath during the Taisho era. The exterior of the cafe still resembles a public bath. There are fabric dividers for male and female baths at the entrance, and the table seats are located around bathing areas and dressing room lockers. You can see the history of the building all around the cafe, and there are vibrant paintings on the tiled walls. The cafe uniquely combines art and public baths, and somehow the atmosphere of the cafe is relaxing.
The cafe offers tofu hamburger steaks, curry, spaghetti Napolitana, and other nostalgic cafe dishes. You get to enjoy delicious food in an artistic setting.
Toyryo Park is located approximately at a 10-minute walk from the cafe. The park is famous for its over 1,500 Yoshino cherry trees, that blossom during the spring. The cafe is surrounded by beautiful sceneries. In the north, you can see the Seto Inland Sea, and in the south the Sanuki town and Shikoku Mountains. You should take a walk around the area after you eat.
