Tetugakuya
Tetugakuya
Tetugakuya is a cafe located in the northern-south part of Tadotsu town in Kagawa Prefecture. The building it is located in is a renovated building that used to be a credit association. The interior of the cafe is full of antique general goods and furniture. Inside the store, you can find various unique accessories, books, and other rare general goods from all over the world. You get to enjoy a cup of coffee in an extraordinary space. The cafe offers original teas and coffees inspired by philosophy, like a tea inspired by Umberto Eco’s ”The Name of the Rose”, a novel written about the problem of universals, one of the themes of medieval philosophy. Since in the cafe, there are many expensive items, and items that break easily, children under the age of high school students are not allowed to enter the cafe. The cafe regularly holds philosophy readings, where you read philosophy books in the cafe, and philosophy debates, where you can debate about one theme.
