Izu Shaboten Zoo

The Izu Shaboten Zoo in Shizuoka prefecture specializes in cacti and animals. There are over 1,500 species of succulents at the park, which can be seen in the five greenhouses. This is also the only place in the world where you can go cactus picking, too. The Izu Shaboten Zoo is also famous for its bathing capybaras. Every winter, a special bath just for capybaras open, and the capybaras huddle in the hot waters.
